image and thoughts.
Hi, I still don’t know what to do yet. My page feels so empty. I have a lot of photos, but I don’t really see the point in posting them.
I’m always drinking coffee and thinking, “I should go through my SD card and choose something beautiful to share”. But every time I look through my archive, I think: “I need to take more pictures.”
I also can’t mix different themes. Photos of myself, objects, nature, other people… I can’t choose just one direction. And I still don’t know how to combine everything. I feel like, to do that, I need to have my own unique vision—something nobody else could recreate. But I don’t see that in my work yet.
Yes, it’s not a very optimistic thought.
Right now, I take a lot of photos of my family and friends, and I feel like I’m doing something important — capturing birthdays and meaningful moments. I don’t always enjoy doing it, though. Deep breath, I wish there were someone like me, with my skills — my clone, who could photograph me, because I know I photograph people the way I’d like to be photographed myself.
And I still love photography, so I keep doing it. This is the only way I know how to preserve these moments for the people around me.
I don’t know how to explain this strange, sad reflection of my life. because i’m very beautiful and nobody takes photo of me. this is my femenin logic. I have to survive surrounded by other predatory women.
Thank God I bought a subscription to the Shutter app, where I can set a timer on the camera and take a bunch of photos on a delay. It’s genius.
now I think this is my best period in terms of the quality of my photos, I only miss the cinematic style I discovered in Saint Petersburg. I made a series of horizontal, melancholy 9:16 photos, once I got the camera I stopped shooting like that. The reason for that is the south of France, where I’ve been living for a year now — it’s not melancholy here at all, it’s bright and there are pools everywhere, sea, palms. I always feel glamour and swag.
I think I need to go back to the horizontal format and stop thinking about how the photo will look on Instagram. Besides, I don’t even have a public Instagram. But I was pleasantly surprised by the new Instagram feature that lets you rearrange photos in your profile grid. Now I even want to make my page public — but I promised myself I’d only open it when I have 1000 photos there.
I also want to meet up with girls more often and photograph beautiful girls and women.
You don’t meet beautiful girls that often.
For some girls this might be an everyday thing, but not for me — I rarely see girlfriends, so now I treat every meeting with care and try to do the most good I can.
I recently photographed my pregnant friend with her kids in the pool and it was great, the photos came out beautiful, but i cant use it for my social media, because it is a personal thing. I loved photographing a sports event, the Monaco Water Ski Championship. I even saw the Prince of Monaco. I also photographed the life inside a factory that makes hair accessories. It’s wonderful interesting. And my fetish is museums, statues, chandeliers and other exhibits, haha. I’m that quiet, humble warrior thanks to whom future generations will get to feel nostalgia.
Most of the time I photograph my lovely husband, because he’s gorgeous, but I don’t want to turn into his fangirl, so I just need to shift the focus onto myself, think about myself and take selfies. And not think that I’m a narcissist. And in theory, I should stop photographing people around me for free, because I need money for Maison Margiela Tabis, a Fujifilm camera, and other joys of life.
Right now I’m really enjoying Tumblr, because it’s cool, there’s no unnecessary noise. my tumblr:@raresort
